Buying and testing decisions

Start with the question blocking your next step.

Every answer is written around a user-visible decision. Implementation details appear only when they explain a security, billing, or evidence boundary.

Fit & compatibility

What is WLOC Cloud?

WLOC Cloud is an independent Web SaaS for authorized iOS location compatibility testing. You review and install a device-specific testing Profile, run a bounded diagnostic or eligible location session from the browser, inspect the evidence, and Restore when finished.

Can I use it on any phone?

No. Use only an iPhone you own, a company-owned device you are permitted to test, or a client device covered by explicit authorization. Device, iOS, app, network, account, and regional conditions can all affect the observed result.

Does WLOC rewrite GPS hardware or every Core Location source?

No. We do not claim to modify GPS hardware or every Core Location data source, and we do not guarantee every third-party app will observe the test location. The tester must check the authorized device and target app separately.

What does a successful compatibility check prove?

It records evidence for that tested iPhone, iOS build, target app, and network path during that run. It does not certify identical behavior across every app, device, carrier, Wi-Fi network, region, future iOS release, or Apple update.

Is WLOC an Apple service or an official Apple API?

No. WLOC is an independent testing product. Historical Apple material, peer-reviewed research, and third-party experiments help explain the system model; none is an Apple endorsement, certification, or guarantee about a private interface.

What does “verified on stock iOS through 26.5.2” mean?

It is a physical-device test result for the tested setup. It does not establish compatibility across every app, iPhone model, network, region, iOS release, or future system update.

Free check

What is the free Tokyo Tower compatibility check?

It uses a fixed server target at Tokyo Tower (35.658600, 139.745400, ±25 m). Eligible signed-in testers can run one successful check per verified account and device identity. No card is required when the check is available, and failures that never reach a successful Active state do not consume it.

Is the free check three minutes or one day?

They are different clocks. The guided observation window is about three minutes. The temporary free Profile is scheduled for Restore within 24 hours. Restore submission, Gateway acknowledgement, and the device-side result remain separate evidence.

Setup & security

What does the testing Profile contain?

The current Profile includes a CA root certificate, an IKEv2 VPN payload, and EAP credentials. Installing it changes managed trust and network configuration on the enrolled device. Until CMS signature verification is proven, WLOC does not call it a signed Profile.

Where do the Profile bytes and EAP password go?

They transit Gateway and Worker memory into an explicit one-time, no-store browser download for the authorized device. WLOC does not retain them in D1, KV, Durable Objects, queues, analytics, structured application logs, browser-side storage, or fixtures.

Does the Cloud control plane store raw VPN traffic?

No raw VPN traffic is retained in WLOC control-plane storage or structured application logs. That statement is scoped to WLOC systems; it is not a claim that network packets never exist while the device and data path operate.

Does Restore mean the device is already back to normal?

Not necessarily. WLOC separates the Restore request, Gateway acknowledgement, pass-through readback, and any device or target-app confirmation. If device confirmation is unavailable, follow the manual removal steps rather than treating a submitted command as a completed device result.

How do I remove the Profile from the iPhone?

Open Settings → General → VPN & Device Management and remove the WLOC testing Profile. You can also Revoke from the dashboard. Use Docs → Install for the complete Safari, trust, Restore, Revoke, and manual removal sequence.

Billing & account

What does the displayed WLOC Pro Annual plan include?

The displayed plan is US$79/year, auto-renewing when checkout is available, for one active authorized device. It includes up to 100 favorites, repeat Apply within published service limits, 60-minute default sessions with a two-hour maximum, and up to 90 days of Activity history visible in the product.

Does returning from Checkout activate Pro?

No. Stripe webhooks and server reconciliation establish entitlement. The browser cannot submit an arbitrary amount or Price ID, and the Checkout return page is never treated as proof of payment or active Pro access.

What remains available if billing fails or the account is restricted?

New Apply, Provision, diagnostic, or checkout actions may be closed. Restore, Revoke, Emergency Stop, Export, and Delete Account remain available under the applicable identity protections. Billing Portal availability is reported separately. Current support channels are listed in the dashboard; no response-time or availability SLA is promised here.

What happens after a full refund?

A full refund ends Pro access and disables new paid Apply when the billing event is reconciled. Restore remains available from the dashboard. The current implementation does not claim that a refund automatically submits Restore or proves a device-side recovery result.

How does account deletion work?

Delete Account starts a seven-day cancelable process. WLOC attempts Restore or Revoke before execution, removes or de-identifies product data, and retains only limited billing or security records where required. It is not described as an instant physical wipe of every record.

Authorized use

Which uses are prohibited?

WLOC is not for attendance fraud, production game cheating, financial or payment manipulation, identity-verification bypass, risk-control or rule evasion, unauthorized interception, general-purpose VPN or proxy service, device farms, or deception involving minors.

When does WLOC say a device is online?

Only when real device telemetry supports that statement. A Gateway HTTP 200 or target_synced state means the call or stored target succeeded, not that the iPhone is online or that a target app accepted the result.

How should I contact support or report a security issue?

Email support@wloc.app with a reproducible description and redacted timestamps. Do not attach Profile XML, EAP credentials, tokens, private keys, raw traffic, or unnecessary personal data. No response-time SLA is promised on this page.

Still need an answer?

Email support@wloc.app with a reproducible description and redacted timestamps. Do not attach Profile XML, EAP credentials, tokens, private keys, raw traffic, or unnecessary personal data. No response-time SLA is promised here.
