1. Privacy Summary
WLOC does not require account registration, does not include advertising SDKs in the iOS app, does not track users across apps or websites for advertising, and does not sell user data. Favorites, coordinate profiles, device configuration, diagnostic cache, and onboarding state are stored on your device by default. The app may send first-party product events to wloc.app so we can understand setup completion, diagnostics, purchase status, and reliability. The public website uses Google Analytics to measure aggregate page views and site performance.
2. Data We Process
- Local app data: Favorite places, coordinate profiles, setup preferences, diagnostic cache, and settings. This data stays on your device by default unless you choose to copy, export, or send it to support.
- Parsing and setup requests: When you use the public
wloc.appWorker to parse map links, convert coordinates, or generate setup profiles, the request may include map links, coordinate text, coordinate values, accuracy values, setup type, and Worker URL. - Product event data: The app may send coarse product events such as app open, setup progress, diagnostics, location-test apply and restore outcomes, paywall interaction, trial or purchase state, and entitlement restoration. Each event includes a random event identifier, a random installation identifier, a launch-session identifier, app/build and OS version, device class, locale, and event properties. It does not include raw map links, exact coordinates, emails, receipts, credentials, or payment-card details.
- App Store transaction data: Apple may send signed server notifications containing product, transaction, original-transaction, subscription status, renewal, expiration, revocation, refund, environment, and notification identifiers. WLOC validates and retains the notification and normalized summary for entitlement support, fraud prevention, operational audit, and aggregate subscription reporting. Apple handles payment credentials.
- Website analytics: The public website uses Google Analytics with Google tag
G-5R5308RGVJto measure aggregate visits, page views, referrers, device/browser information, and site performance. This is website traffic measurement and is not an iOS app SDK. - Service operation data: To provide and protect the service, Cloudflare Workers may process request paths, IP addresses, user agents, timestamps, error details, and security events.
- Support information: If you contact us by email, your email address, issue description, screenshots, and diagnostic details are used to respond and troubleshoot.
3. How We Use Data
We use this data only to provide app functionality, parse and convert coordinates, generate setup profiles, run diagnostics, measure first-party setup and reliability metrics, measure public website traffic, protect service security, respond to support requests, troubleshoot issues, and maintain service reliability. We do not use app product events or website analytics for third-party advertising, advertising measurement, cross-app tracking, or data brokerage.
4. Third-Party Services and Tools
wloc.app is hosted on Cloudflare Workers, and Cloudflare may process infrastructure logs under its own terms and privacy policy. The public website uses Google Analytics, and Google may process website usage data under its own terms and privacy policy. App Store downloads, purchases, refunds, and crash reports are handled by Apple. WLOC can also prepare setup profiles for external tools; those tools, network logs, and privacy policies are controlled by their own developers and your device settings.
5. Retention and Deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, reset it, or uninstall the app. Delete All Local Data removes the local product snapshot, random installation identifier, and queued analytics events; App Store entitlement state and consumed free-use counters remain protected. Uninstalling removes the app container. The public Worker processes parsing and conversion requests for real-time responses and is not used to build a searchable coordinate history. Product events and verified App Store notification records are retained in aggregate and raw operational tables for service analytics, entitlement support, reliability review, security, refund handling, and audit. Cloudflare infrastructure logs are handled under Cloudflare security and operational retention mechanisms. Support emails are retained until the issue is handled, or for the period needed for legal, dispute, and security purposes.
6. Your Choices
You can delete local data in the app settings. The current app uses the official https://wloc.app service and does not provide a custom service URL switch. You may request deletion of support-related communication by emailing support@wloc.app.
7. Children
WLOC is intended for development, QA, network-location configuration, and authorized device testing workflows. It is not directed to children.
8. Changes
If accounts, optional cloud sync, or other new data-processing features are added, we will update this policy. The latest version is always available at https://wloc.app/privacy.
9. Contact
Privacy questions can be sent to support@wloc.app.
