FAQ
Does WLOC directly change system GPS?
No. It manages coordinate profiles, setup-profile generation, parsing, and diagnostics. GPS signal, iOS cache, target-app permissions, and system behavior may all affect final results.
Diagnostics says patched, but the target app did not move. What next?
Confirm the latest WLOC request and patch timestamps first. Then follow the permission refresh, iOS 26/27 restart escalation, and cache-versus-GPS checks in the complete troubleshooting guide.
How do I restore real location?
Stop any active route, clear the device target, and confirm passthrough. The restore guide also covers manually configured fallback coordinates and stale app state.
Where are favorites and settings stored?
Favorites, profiles, and settings are stored locally on the device by default. The public Worker is used for parsing, conversion, setup-profile generation, and diagnostics; it is not used to build coordinate history.
Can I use a custom backend?
No. The current app uses the official wloc.app service and does not provide custom service URL switching.
