Create and preview a route before you start playback
Build a route from map points or a GPX track, review its distance and estimated time, adjust speed, loops, and accuracy, then start it only after the shared location diagnostics pass.

Routes are saved and previewed locally until you tap Start Route
A route needs at least two points. WLOC stores route definitions on your iPhone, calculates the preview locally, and writes the selected route to the compatible device module only when you start playback. You can create and preview before the Pro boundary; the upgrade prompt appears only when a gated start is requested.

From a new route to a verified recovery
Build a route from map points or a GPX track, review its distance and estimated time, adjust speed, loops, and accuracy, then start it only after the shared location diagnostics pass.
Open Routes and add a route
Open the Routes tab and tap the add button. Give the route a recognizable name so you can reuse the same QA path later.
- A route stays in the on-device Route Library.
- Use a name that describes the path and expected test result.
Add at least two points or import GPX
Tap the map to add waypoints, add the current coordinate, use the two-point starter, or switch to GPX import. WLOC shows the point count, total distance, and estimated duration while you edit.
- Two points are the minimum; additional waypoints are supported.
- Each waypoint can keep a name, wait time, and optional segment speed.
Preview the path without changing the device
Use Route Preview to watch the selected route on the map. Replaying the preview recalculates the local animation; it does not write a route or test location to the device module.
- Preview first to catch a wrong point or unrealistic speed.
- The preview is a planning tool, not proof that a target app followed the route.
Choose speed, loop behavior, and accuracy
Pick a walking, running, cycling, or driving preset, or set a custom speed. Turn on loop playback when the path should repeat; reverse-on-loop makes every second pass run in the opposite direction.
- Distance and estimated duration update with the route settings.
- Accuracy describes the network-location sample and does not improve GPS hardware.
Run Change Location diagnostics, then start
Routes use the same service, certificate, compatible VPN app, and device connection as a single test location. Fix the first failed diagnostic item before tapping Start Route.
- A separate route diagnostic is not required.
- Start is disabled when the shared device-write gate is not ready.
Pause, resume, stop, and restore
While a route is running, you can pause, resume, or stop it. When the authorized test is complete, stop the route, clear any remaining test target, confirm passthrough, and reopen the target app to verify normal location behavior.
- Stopping route playback and restoring location are separate checks.
- Keep a screenshot or diagnostic report when the recovery result matters.

What each route setting changes

FAQ
Can I preview a route without starting it?
Yes. Route Preview is local and does not write the route to the device module. Starting playback is a separate action.
How many points does a route need?
At least two. You can add more waypoints manually or import a GPX track; WLOC may downsample very large GPX tracks to the supported device limit.
Why does the target map not move continuously?
Routes affect one network-location signal. GPS, app cache, permissions, and app-specific rules can remain dominant. First confirm fresh requests and patches in diagnostics, then evaluate the target app separately.
Do routes need a separate setup?
No. They use the same compatible client, scoped HTTPS setup, device connection, and diagnostics as Change Location.
How do I return to normal location?
Stop the active route, clear any static target, confirm passthrough in WLOC, and reopen the target app to verify that its normal location behavior returned.
